We will let you know next week about our vision and first steps, but just as a heads-up, we are planning for some musical nights, some photography workshops, and some games and cooking nights, to start with.
We might collaborate with DOXA and with SIM in this project, if the Lord opens the right doors, to bring in youth and young adults that might be interested in our activities.
Keep praying for Belinda and for me, as we are planning and dreaming about what could be!

Food Drive – Food Bank donations
For the past few years we have been donating food items to The Salvation Army Food Bank. We hear on the news that the food banks are overwhelmed with families looking to ease their groceries bills with donations from food banks.
We are reminded in the bible that “ The poor will always be with us” and it is also God’s will that we help take care of those in need.
We are placing a box at the back of the church, so that those who are able can contribute. We hope to make our donation by December 23!
Suggestions: breakfast cereals, rice, pasta, tins of fruit & vegetables, baby formula, non-perishables, etc

Either way, because we had just a few RSVPs, we are not going forward with the potluck.
Hopefully later in the year! I really miss our potlucks…

Danny North’s recovery is going well, despite the plethora of fractures and cuts and bruises.
He is at home, after a successful surgery on Monday.
Keep praying for his recovery, and also for his family!
Remembrance Day
Tomorrow, November 11th is Remembrance Day. It is the day Canadians remember the brave men and women who have served, and continue to serve our country during times of war, conflict and peace; specifically, the First and Second World Wars, the Korean War, and all conflicts since then in which members of the Canadian Forces have participated to give us, and others, freedom.
Please take a moment to thank God for those that served, and serve today, and thank God for the peace we have here in Canada!
I have attached a poem that we usually recite at this time of the year.
Here is a link with the sounds of the last minute of the war, when the guns fell silent…

Lots of opportunities! Contact Mike or reply to this email if you want to be there. Or just show up. We love surprises 😉
BPC Family discussion night regarding the future
One of the things that we did not have this past Sunday at AGM was time. Time to talk, time to listen, time to let our questions be heard, with love and with passion.
I know that one of the most important things moving forward is to make sure we, as leadership, get to listen to the church, and offer ample time for questions and comments.
With this in mind, I invite you all to join me in a time of discussions, questions, and comments regarding our current situation!
When: next Saturday, November 5, at 6pm, at the church. Dinner provided! (Chilli and stuff)
If you want, you can even email questions in advance, so we can discuss them at the meeting.
If you want to be there, but you cannot join us, we can set up a zoom connection. No chilli for zoom though…

As Steve has announced this past Sunday, our annual meeting is coming soon!

If we have more details before then, I will communicate that to you.
Going Deeper Bible Study happening Oct. 16th
This past Sunday we didn’t have our meeting for “Going Deeper”, and as this weekend is a busy weekend, we will have our question and discussion time next week, on Oct. 16th!
The topic for our discussion remains HOW do we know God’s will?” Pretty important topic, and I am looking forward to our discussions!
Looking forward to seeing you at the church, on Sunday OCT. 16th, from 7 to 8pm!

The Sunday School team will also hopefully be meeting- if you are on both teams we will go through the greeting stuff fast so you can jump into the Sunday School stuff!
We are hoping that following Church on Sunday, September 11 works for everyone! We will provide lunch and it should take a long time! A fun time to check in, and hang out!
Please let us know as soon as possible if you are able to make it!
Good morning everyone!
It feels really good to be back, refreshed and energized after three weeks in Romania with family and friends, and of course great Romanian food!We got to celebrate our 25th anniversary with our family, alongside a few birthdays as well. And we got to visit with Svetlana in Moldova, where I also preached at the church in the village of Badicu on the 21st of August.

Sermon series for the fall
I am really excited to start a new book study this fall – the book of Colossians!
The intro to the study will be on September 11
Adi and Ana will soon go on vacation for three weeks
Ana and I will fly out to Romania in exactly one week, and we’ll have about three weeks to spend with family and friends in Romania, and also celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary while we are over there.
That also means that for the next few weeks there will be no more emails from me. Pastor Nick will probably send out some church emails while I am gone.
Pray for us, as air travel has not been at its best the last few months. Pearson Airport is ranked No.1 on the “worst airports in the world” list… But God is good, and I trust Him that He will watch over our flights and our luggage too!

Thank you for joining us, and please keep praying for Lizzy Yao!
Missionary updates:
We have a few updates from some of the missionaries we support:
Kevin Jolly, serving with the Navigators in Nova Scotia (See attached PDF)
Neil Macris, serving in Greece:
Please pray for this young Gypsy brother in Christ, “B”, who is my most promising, and so far most faithful attendant, from our fellowship in the Gypsy camp.
I have discipled “B” for five years now and I want to build a second room for him (here in the picture) behind the brick room already built so he can have a two room house. The agreement we have is that, as I am able, I will slowly build this room with a bathroom, and he will allow us to use it for “children’s church” when we have our weekly meeting in the camp – simultaneously, with the adult meeting that will be taking place in the first meeting room I have already built for his Aunt who was the first person I led to the Lord from the Gypsy camp, over 10 years ago in the little parking lot outside my local supermarket.
Canada Day Family Event
We had an amazing day at the church for Canada Day! We had SO many people from the community joining us that we actually ran out of food 🙂 A great problem to have!

Father’s Day This Sunday, June 19th, we celebrate Father’s Day!
What a great time to recognize the important role of fathers in the family and society!
A great time to remember and reminisce about our own dads, especially when they are no longer with us…
A time of reflection also, and encouragement for us all, dads young and not so young!
I pray and hope that this Sunday will be sweet and special, filled with laughter and barbecue smoke, and maybe a couple of tears here and there.
May the Lord bless you and keep you, dads!
Below are some points from one of my devotionals for Father’s Day:
Great dads learn from the Father in Heaven!
Feed your heart and soul every day with His word
Great dads learn from others!
Surround yourself with good role models and good mentors. Don’t go at it alone!
Great dads are role models themselves!
Remember that your kids are watching you, and learn from your example. Be a good one!
Great dads are also spiritual fathers!
Make the Gospel and God’s grace your life’s message, whether it is with words or with actions.
Great dads know that it is never too late to do the right thing!
We all made mistakes. And a lot of… Do not let your past define your present and your future!
Rest in God’s grace – given to all of us who DON’T deserve it – then pick up your cross and do the right thing. Every day.
Supporting Cricket this summer
Kirushanthan (Cricket) will head up north to Serpent River, a first nation reserve where he will run a day camp, showing God’s love to the community. If anyone would like to financially support him on this trip, here is the link!
Summer Camp starts July 1st!
Time flies so fast! The camp teams from DOXA started their training and preparations for the summer camp already!
Pray for the team as they work and pray together! Pray for the kids that are on the list, that all will come with open hearts, ready to hear the Good News!
Pray also for the families of all the kids – may the Lord open doors for us to preach the Gospel to them also
Ephesians 6:19,20: “Keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints, and also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel”

AGC Regional Conference 2022
Thank you for your prayers! Nick, Maddy, Ana and I had a great time, worshipping God, reconnecting with old friends, as well as making new ones!
There were also a few ministry connections that were encouraging to me:
A radio ministry that might allow me to bring the Audio Bible in Roma language to my Roma friends in Toronto
Getting to know pastor Craig and his wife Crissy (from Bible Fellowship Church in Sault St. Marie) – Nick is taking a mission team to their church in August!
I had a good chat with the Heritage Seminary representative, and I might be going back to school in September 🙂
Pentecost Sunday
This Sunday we celebrate the Pentecost – the coming of the promised Spirit, the birth of the Church, and the start of global proclamation of the Gospel
I have attached an article about it, for your devotional time. Enjoy!

This summer (July 17th) we will have a visit from Malawi!
Daniel, who works in Malawi with Love A Village ministry, with Julie Seath, will be in Canada for a few weeks
We will get to hear first-hand about what God is doing in Malawi!
Baptisms coming this summer (June 12, maybe July 10 too)
I am happy to let you know that we have a few baptisms coming up this summer!
First will be on June 12, with Caleb and David Friesen, and then probably July 10 with a few people from the Mandarin Group
I am really looking forward to it – it’s going to be a great summer!
Summer camp: keep praying!
Summer camp is coming sooner that we can even think! The list is full, the team will soon be fully assembled, and preparations will start sometime in June!
Pray for pastor Nick and the team of interns and volunteers: As they prepare, may the Spirit lead them in writing the curriculum!
May the Lord knit the team together in love, and in the common purpose of seeing the Gospel preached to many kids and families this summer!
Visit to Romania in August
Just a note: Ana and I have finally made plans to go to Romania, with the kids, after five years since our last visit as a family. We purchased our plane tickets, so it’s official!
We will be gone a few weeks in August, and we will be there for our 25th wedding anniversary (yay!)
By God’s grace, we hope to get to spend one weekend with our church in Moldova as well, as we miss fellowshipping with our church family there.
Prayer for Makadi family
With a sad heart I need to inform you that young Moses (7yrs old), adopted by the Makadi family but still in Nigeria, died last Sunday.
Please pray for Peter, Rahila, Dorea, and Peter Jr., as they have to deal with the grief and sorrow from afar, as traveling to Nigeria is not an option for them at this time.
May the peace of Christ, that surpasses all understanding, guard their minds and hearts in Christ Jesus!
Summer Camp (DOXA Day Camp) Update
We are happy to inform you that we have already filled up all the spots for the summer camp! Last year we had difficulties getting kids to register, this year we will have to have a waiting list… Praise the Lord!
Keep praying for pastor Nick and the team of interns and volunteers – may the Lord use them to make Himself known to many this summer!
This past weekend we had over 210 kids with us at Muskoka Woods (300 people total, youth leaders and kids together) and we had a great time both in the fun and also in the Word!
Please pray that the seeds planted this weekend will be watered in the local churches, and that a great harvest for the Kingdom will follow!
Here are a couple of images from this weekend:
Mother’s Day
I hope most of us don’t need this reminder, but here it is: This Sunday is Mother’s Day!
I hope this will be a great day of celebration, great memories and laughter, and amazing food with friends and family!
Happy Mother’s day from BPC!
Strive 2022 This Weekend
Please pray for Adi and Nick, as they are heading up to Muskoka Woods, with a couple of our youth, for the annual AGC Youth retreat – Strive 2022!
The last Strive Retreat was in March 2020, right before the pandemic…
We are going to have two very full days of fun, games, worship, and Gospel preaching
Pray for both youth and youth leaders – to be touched by God’s Spirit, challenged and encouraged by Word and worship.
BPC Town Hall meeting
Finally we have scheduled our town hall meeting! We would like to discuss with you about how the future will look like for our church in the post-Covid era.
We like to hear from you about what the Lord has put on your hearts, as well as sharing with you our thoughts and dreams regarding our church in the next stage(s) of life and ministry.
The date is April 24, 2022, right after the (shortened) morning service. The format will be hybrid, so we can connect with all those that currently participate in our programs, whether in person or on zoom.
